How to Take Care of a Fragile Non-Stick Pan?
Was your first pan a non-stick one? The coating on non-stick pans can wear out quickly, often needing replacement after just 1-2 years. But with proper care, you can make it last longer. Here's how to take care of your non-stick pan.

Spatulas
Use a silicone spatula if you can. If not, bamboo or wooden ones work too. NEVER use metal spatulas, spoons, or forks—they can scratch and ruin the non-stick coating.
Cooking
Don't heat an empty pan on high heat. When cooking, try to stick to medium or low heat.
Cleaning
Don't use steel wool to clean the pan—it will damage the coating right away. Use a sponge or cloth instead. Also, don't pour cold water into a hot pan.
Maintenance
Brush a thin layer of oil onto the pan, then wipe off the excess with a paper towel. It's best to do this once a week.
